Shorebirds in Flight

There was a variety of shorebirds along the beach at Coal Oil Point two weekends ago.  Here is a selection of flight shots.  It was especially nice to see the Heermann’s Gull in adult plumage.  I’ll have a follow-up post shortly with more images of stationary shorebirds.
